Butte County is located in Northern California approximately 80 miles north of Sacramento, has a population of 210,500, and is the home of California State University, Chico. The county is situated between the Sacramento River and the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Butte County provides a wide range of HIV services. HIV care, treatment and case management. Services are primarily provided by Butte County Public Health Department, Home Health Care Management, and Del Norte Clinics Inc. Butte County has reported 262 AIDS cases and 63 HIV cases as of November 30, 2007.
