The AIDS Program coordinates and provides education/prevention activities for persons at increased risk of HIV infection. Community HIV workers target MSM, injection drug users and their partners, women and those who are HIV positive by providing targeted prevention, linkage to counseling and testing, one to one risk reduction counseling, and partner counseling and referral services in the community, local detention facilities, recovery programs, and other appropriate venues. The AIDS Program also coordinates the collaboration of sub-contracting agencies who provide a variety of HIV prevention services one to one risk reduction, comprehensive risk counseling and services (CRCS), support groups and educational presentations to the following behavioral risk groups: men who have sex with men, injection drug users and their partners, women, and HIV positive individuals.
