Santa Barbara

Located on the coast of California, Santa Barbara County's climate is mild and sunny all year. There is something for everyone in Santa Barbara County. History whispers from the old buildings. Natural beauty beams from the varied landscape of mountains, valleys, coastal foothills, and the sea.

Almost 500 people are living with HIV/AIDS in Santa Barbara County.  About 87% of these cases are male and 13% are female.  Transgenders make up less than 1% of these cases.  53% of these cases are White, 37% are Hispanic and 7% are Black.  Asian Pacific Islanders and Native Americans make up less than 3% of the remaining cases.  In the last five years, more than 50% of new HIV cases have been in the Hispanic Community.

In Santa Barbara County, the vision of the Continuum of Care is to provide high quality care and prevention for people living with HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) or AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome).

Services include:
•  Medical care and treatment
•  Specialty care and referrals
•  Case management
•  Counseling
•  Confidential and anonymous HIV testing
•  Support services such as food, housing and transportation
•  HIV Education & Prevention

We also provide support to private medical providers to assist them with the care and treatment of their HIV/AIDS clients.
